Doubt, Faith, & Art
A collaborative “Book Club” where we talk about the things we’re learning and observing in life and our world.
We are all in progress, none of us have arrived—and that is okay—let’s learn together.
When we offer space for people to name their religious confusion and frustrations, we might be the first safe spiritual or religious person they have encountered.
Art provides us insight into the things about our world.
When we hear a good story, see a moving painting, or experience a well-crafted film—our lives may never feel the same again. Art causes our feelings to shift, our thoughts to be challenged, and our minds to be broadened. It is through art like film, music, stories, poems, and paintings that I have been caused to wonder about my life and our world.
As part of this book club, we will look at different pieces of art and talk about their impact, how they challenge and broaden our thinking, and how each artist, no matter their faith, images their Creator.
